it was not an easy thing to make it to this day このひ を むかえること は かんたん な こと では ありませんでした
came to Miami from Colombia with her husband and three children おっと と ３にん の こども と いっしょ に コロンビア から マイアミ に やってきました
started attending かよいはじめました
in order to raise her three children she had to work こども を ３にん そだてるためには、しごと も しなければなりませんでした
she continued going to work and school making as many as five bus transfers a day まいにち ５かい も バス を のりかえて しごと と がっこう に かよいつづけました
(her) daughter had an accident むすめ が じこ に あい
there were terrible incidents such as (when her daughter had an accident) and was in a coma for a long period of time ちょうきかん こんすいじょうたい に なってしまうという、とても たいへん な できごと も ありました
in spite of such days of hardship そんな くろう の ひび にも かかわらず
(she) never abandoned her studies まなぶ こと を あきらめなかった
teaches us that if we don’t give up we can attain our dreams あきらめなければ ゆめ は かなう こと を わたしたち に おしえてくれたのです
