という話を耳にした事がありました I have heard the story that … という はなし を みみ に した こと が ありました
明治期にコーヒーを冷やして飲み始めたよう it appears they started cooling coffee and drinking it in the Meiji Period めいじき に コーヒー を ひやして のみはじめた よう
当時は at the time とうじ は
冷やしコーヒーと呼ばれていました it was called chilled coffee ひやし コーヒー と よばれていました
そのなごりのせいか perhaps due to that lingering (effect) その なごり の せいか
関西では in the Kansai (Region) かんさい では
冷コー(レェコー)と呼ぶ人もいます there are people who call it ‘reikō’ レイコー(レェコー)とよぶ ひと も います
欧米で知られ始めたのは when it first started becoming known おうべい で しられ はじめた のは
スターバックスで売られるようになった that it has started being sold in Starbucks スターバックス で うられる よう に なった
大きなきっかけと言われています is said to be a big catalyst おおきな きっかけ と いわれています

  1. We have had iced coffee on the menu of every Australian cafe for years! It is very popular here.
