appeared to be electrocuted かんでん した らしく
was lying (after falling) helplessly beside the track せんろ の よこ で ぐったり と たおれて いました
a fellow monkey なかま の サル
attempted to bring (him) back to consciousness いしき を もどそう と
did things like slap him, shake his body, and bite on his head たたいたり、からだ を ゆすったり、あたま を かんだり しました
his consciousness just didn’t come back なかなか いしき が もどりません でした
even so the fellow monkey without quitting… それでも なかま の サル は あきらめず
tried to help the monkey which had lost consciousness by doing things like putting him in water いしき を 失っている サル を みず に つけたり ひっし に その サル を たすけよう と しました
thenすると
after about 20 minutes had passed２０ ぷん ほど たって
the consciousness of the monkey came back サル の いしき が もどった の です
was rubbing the back of the monkey which had regained consciousness いしき の もどった サル の せなか を やさしく さすって いました
gave big applause and cheer おおきな はくしゅ と かんせい が あがりました
