高林茉莉（たかばやし　まつり）は２０歳の時、数万人に1人という難病にかかり、余命が１0年であることを知りました。茉莉は残された10年は生きることに執着することがないように決めます。恋をして相手の人を残して死ぬのが怖いので、絶対恋をしないと決めるのです。

茉莉は小学校の同窓会で茉莉の初恋の相手、真部和人（まなべ　かずと）と再会します。茉莉と再会した頃、生きる理由なんてどこにもなかった和人は茉莉と出会って、とりあえずやれる事からやってみようと始めます。出会った2人は、この世界が愛おしくなっていくのです。

これは余命10年の作者が命をかけて綴った物語です。

Movie: The Last Ten Years

When Mari Takabayashi was 20 years old, she was diagnosed with an incurable disease that affects only one in tens of thousands of people, and learned that she had only 10 years to live. Mari decides not to get attached to living for the remaining 10 years. She is afraid of falling in love and leaving her partner to die, so she decides never to fall in love.

At an elementary school reunion, Mari reunites with Kazuto Manabe, Mari’s first love. Kazuto, who had no reason to live when he met Mari, meets her and starts to do what he can. After meeting each other, they start to love this world.

This is a story that the author, who has 10 years to live, gave his life to compose.
